Winter Is Here and My Lips Are Chapped AF

So in NYC we clearly went from summer straight into winter. Totally skipping my favorite season, fall. AKA: It’s cold AF in Manhattan and my skin is dry and lips are so chapped.  Yeah, I could use chapstick, but where’s the fun in that? So I’ve implemented a new lip treatment regimen.  Yep, you read that right.

First, I wish I was one of those girls who puts on lotion before they go to bed. But nah, I’m the girl who passes out once my head hits my pillow. I also fall asleep with my hair wet a lot so I straight up wake up looking like Mufasa. It’s such a site in the AM. But that’s besides the point… I’ve now added an overnight lip treatment. I currently use Laneige’s Lip Sleeping Mask ($20).

The Lip Sleeping Mask  has a softening balm texture that closely adheres to lips for quick absorption. It’s enriched with vitamin C and antioxidants, its Berry Mix Complex™ offers a nutritiously sweet and fragrant blend of raspberry, strawberry, cranberry, and blueberry extracts. Its exclusive Moisture Wrap™ technology boasts hyaluronic acid and minerals to form a protective film over the lips to lock in moisture and active ingredients.  It comes with this super cute applicator and a cover for the applicator. The scent isn’t over powering or strong at all. In the AM all you do is wipe it or wash it off.  I feel like my lips have definitely been softer and not as dry.

Next is my new fave duo I use throughout the day. I use Fresh’s Sugar Lip Serum Advanced Therapy ($36) and the Fresh Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm ($18).

The serum, is perfect to use before you put any lip products. This product helps to nourish and improve the definition on and around the lips while visibly smoothing fine lines for fuller, younger-looking lips. I mean what’s worse than seeing some girl with a botched up red lip on dry lips? (Gross!).

I LOVE LOVE LOVE caramel. I drink caramel coffee, salted caramel is my go to ice cream flavor. Of course I would love this caramel hydrating balm. I love how this balm isn’t sticky at all so you can confidently walk around without your hair sticking onto your lips. It also gives the perfect amount of shine. It literally melts onto your lips.

The last step I do for dry lips is to gently take your toothbrush and brush your lips after you brush your teeth. This gets rid of the dry skin.

What are your go to lip products for winter? Comment below as I love trying new products.
