There are 2 sales I patiently wait for (and they happen x2 a year). The Lord & Taylor Black Friday event where you get $20 off your $50 purchase (INCLUDES BEAUTY) and the Sephora VIB sale, where you get 15%/20% (depending on your Sephora status). Now that I’ve been introduced to the world of ‘Cash Back’ site, Ebates. I also got 4% cash back on my Sephora Online order(s). Okay I made 3 separate orders. But to be fair, I used this purchase as a ‘stock up my beauty vanity’. Did I mention I got 4% cash back? Also I may or may not have bought my CHANEL beauty 2 weeks prior at the Bloomingdales F&F sale. (It was $15 off your $150 purchase AND I got a FREE makeup bag. I know, I went HAM on beauty products in April.
Anyways on to the good stuff… So I my first 2 orders came in the mail. The third one is TBD, since I bought the last haul during the last day of the sale. Surprised the site didn’t crash or anything. I did make my purchase 6 days ago, and it still hasn’t been shipped. Umm Sephora can you send me some extra samples or anything? So what did I buy?
Why did I buy this? This has been in my makeup routine for years. After I put toner, I like to rehydrate my skin so I spray my face with this face mist. I wait a bit and then put on serum/moisturizer. Hydrated skin doesn’t need as much primer as dry skin. Therefore my liquid foundation isn’t cakey looking.
Verdict: I mean I buy it all the time. Get it!
Why did I buy this? I’ve been dying to try this. Haven’t you seen the beauty vloggers who swear by this? They’re filming barefaced and they have radiant glowing skin. This also works on all skin types. The fact that Sephora was offering 15% off, I knew I had to get it. Facial Treatment Essence is also enriched with more than 90 percent Pitera, the main ingredient used to enhance the skin’s renewal process—plus, it contains nourishing vitamins, amino acids, minerals, and acids to promote the skin’s renewal. With daily application, this essence moisturizes, improves texture and clarity, and contributes to a more beautiful, balanced, and glowing complexion.
Verdict: Still trying it out. Review to be posted soon!
Why did I buy this? The saleslady at Birchbox introduced me to this 2 years ago. Ever since then I’ve been raving about this product. I got this before the micellar water trend. This literally will still get makeup off your face after you’ve used your Clarisonic. It’s also gentle enough to be used as eye makeup remover!
Verdict: You basically should have 2 bottles in your vanity at all times.
Why did I buy this? Perfect wipes for on the go. Especially those times you go to the gym after work. For me, I take dance classes, and my skin esthetician scolded me for not taking my makeup before I work out. These wipes are also exfoliating wipes! They feature two sides, one for easy makeup removal and one for exfoliation.
Verdict: Not gonna lie, my eyes started to burn when I used this and I had to run to the bathroom to rinse of my face. I then got confused and thought these were then like the cleansing clothes Neutrogena has. But the instructions do in fact say no water needed. Stick to the Simple Cleansing facial wipes, they’re cheaper too!
Why did I buy this? Ever since this came out, I’ve been dying to try it. I do love Sunday Riley oils, although they smell weird AF. But you honestly wakeup with radiant glowing skin. I tend to break out on the cheek area, so I thought this would be the perfect face oil. With 1.5 percent salicylic acid, this fast-acting, quick-drying, medicated oil clears acne and blackhead-causing buildup and debris from congested pores for smoother, blemish-free skin. Tea tree oil and black cumin seed oil support clear skin, while hexylresorcinol and licorice naturally brighten the appearance of old acne discolorations for a more even-toned complexion. Counterbalancing the potentially drying effects of salicylic acid, milk thistle and cucumber seed oil nourish the skin and smooth the appearance of lines and wrinkles, without leaving a greasy residue. Chamomile and neroli soothe stressed, blemish-prone skin.
Verdict: I mean it does smell a bit weird, but it definitely absorbs quickly to the skin. I’m still waiting for my Good Genes to come in the mail, because Sunday Riley face oils + lactic Good Genes pair very well.
Why did I buy this? Because my Clarisonic was annoying AF, because the battery kept dying. Like it’s not fun to charge it every day. Plus buying a new $25 brush head was starting to get annoying. The Foreo is more hygienic.
Verdict: I do like it, and it’s easy to hold. But I’m used to the brush from Clarisonic. Still waiting to see if I see any changes with my skin.
Why did I buy this? I got a sample of this cleanser, hydrator & toner from Influenster and I’m completely obsessed! My breakouts have cleared up and I swear it’s from this cleanser (which is so much cheaper than my aczone btw). I also bought the face scrub from this line. Also waiting for it to come in the mail.
Verdict: I will be loyal to this cleanser for ever.
Why did I buy this? This creamy concealer is hands down the best concealer I’ve ever used. It’s not in all stores so I usually buy in online. Since it has Argan oil, it blends right into your skin and it doesn’t look like you’re wearing any makeup. It perfect for under eye circles, it doesn’t crease at all!
Verdict: You MUST try this!
Why did I buy this? Because you should always clean your makeup brushes. I try to clean mine every other week, but sometimes you really need a quick fix. This cleaner, works for those times you quickly need to clean your brush. It’s perfect to keep in your makeup bag, so when you reapply make up at work you can sanitize your make up brushes.
Verdict: You should buy this in bulk NOW!
